![]() ![]() If it is flashing the issue is more serious an a MIL will also be set. If it is on and steady it indicates something not quite right - and a MIL will be set. The light you describe IS the glo plug symbol. Dealer says it can be a compression issue or a glow plug issue but they did sound like they really knew what was going on. From people that needed a fuel pump replacement, to a ground issue, to a HPFP failure, to a full fuel system replacement needed when the glow plug light turns on. I've looked online a lot and have found all kinds of things. Anyone knows what the problem may be and what do you recommend? I have been getting calls to get an extended warranty so I could go that route and take it to the dealer or work on it myself. My vehicle is not under warranty just over 37k. Turned back on and nothing showed and drives fine. Drove another 5 miles to our stop as it was right at the end of the trip turned off vehicle and started researching online. If I pressed the gas that truck would not really respond much. I searched online and people called it a glowplug light. This week, we were doing a 400 mile trip and the light came up and started to flash. No change of performance was observed for her while driving. My wife was driving the vehicle a couple of weeks ago and she got a double loop light that disappeared after she restarted vehicle. ![]()
